I have recently decided to work on getting back in shape. In 2011, I completed the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, Pittsburgh Adventure Sprint Triathlon, and the Bairel Family YMCA Sprint Triathlon. Each race I felt better and my times improved. I am currently using Insanity to lose weight, and the spin class/swimming/running to improve my cardiovascular endurance. In 2012, I completed all three above mentioned races again, and added the Tour de Cure, The Damn Tri (Olympic Distance), and the MS 150. For 2013, I competed in the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, The Damn Tri, and numerous 5K charity runs. The 2014 season found me racing less as I moved from Kentucky to Cleveland, yet I completed the Damn Tri (Sprint Distance) and the Baierl Family YMCA Sprint Triathlon. So far in 2015 I have slated the Damn Tri for a fourth year, the Bairel Family YMCA for the third time, and I am looking to add two more triathlons in the Cleveland area.
Outside of trying to find the inner athlete that I used to be; I have been helping the Baldwin Wallace University Women's Golf team, and starting to play more myself to get back to tournament readiness. I also enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and supporting my students at Baldwin Wallace in their endeavors on and off the field.
